This shell cameo is set in a flat red gold mount, decorated with floral engravings. The male head depicted is masterly cut. The setting as well as the detachable safety chain are made of 9 carat gold. Due to the lightness of this brooch as well as its size of 4.7 x 3.7 cm, this antique piece is well wearable and due to the contrast of snowy white and dark brown especially attractive.
