This extraordinary dress clip is determined by a pure design combining black Bakelite and brilliant chrome which form a stark contrast. The use of contrastive materials reflects elements which are typical for Art Deco, an epoch of changes in the course of which new materials found their way into jewellery production, as did Bakelite. This material was developed by the beginning of the 20th century and soon came to be used in very different fields of production – including the field of jewellery making.

The design of this dress clip is dominated by oval shapes overlaying each other: black, opaquely brilliant Bakelite as well as chrome in a discontinuously striped pattern and polished chrome in a curved shape. – An exceptional piece for Art Deco devotees.

This captivating Art Deco ensemble will enchant you due to the simplicity of this design. The decorative necklace consists of green Bakelite discs of 1 cm diameter each and hemispheres as well as discs made of chrome. Both materials go well together in a wonderful harmony of colours creating a striking and at the same time wearable unity which is especially convincing due to the clarity of its design.

The necklace has been newly threaded. In the course of this, earrings of 55 mm length were made, which have been completed by grey wax beads, which are loosely connected allowing them to swing. The necklace and the earrings form a harmonic ensemble, which is striking due to its simplicity.

Worth pointing out is the great state of this Art Deco necklace. If you want to see or try on any piece of jewellery from our large collection, we will be happy to make an appointment with you in Düsseldorf.

This especially decorative bangle reflecting the Art Deco design of the 1920s demonstrates typical elements of this era due to the use of a material which started its rise during this epoch: Bakelite.

The so-called material for a thousand uses, which was invented at the beginning of the 20th century, came to be used in almost any branch of industrial production during the 1920s. Due to the abundance of possibilities in application as well as the large number of opportunities in the field of design, this material was also used in jewellery production.

Since then, the name Bakelite is inseparably linked with Art Deco design.

This piece of jewellery reflects various traits of Art Deco design: The slender links shaped as a semi-circle are arranged alternately in the classical combination of the colours black and red.

They have been newly threaded on durable elastic band. Like this, this original piece of jewellery dating back to the Roaring Twenties can be considered a special and well-preserved piece of jewellery due to its attractive size, shape and colours.

Would you like to try on this bangle or any other piece of our large number of special offers and get an idea of them in real life? – We will be happy to make an appointment with you.
