Locket with Finely Carved Gem Made of Bloodstone

This finely carved intaglio depicting a male head with helmet is made of haematite – also known as bloodstone. It adorns a locket from the turn of the century plated in red gold. The backside of the locket is adorned by an onyx which is cut rectangular. The pearl clip mechanism of 14 carat red gold provides the opportunity of exchanging the necklace. A freshwater pearl necklace – pearls of approx. 9 mm width – with a big 14 carat gold spring ring completes this very attractive ensemble.
